Financial Management Services, Inc. (“FMSI”) is a leading provider of financial and business services to companies associated with the building trades.

FMSI was founded in 1973 by a small group of wholesalers that saw a need for financing products for their contractor customers outside of traditional bank product offerings.  Installment loans and floor-plan financing were the only products offered until the mid-1990’s.  At that time ProPower, a private label credit card, was developed to assist wholesalers’ cash flow by replacing a segment of their house accounts with a revolving business account.
